We use Symantec Antirus Corporate Edition version 8.1.0.825. The server is a win2k adv server servicing over 100 clients (various win2k/xp machines). We've noticed that users have been getting into the workstation portion of SAV and disabling the file system real time protection. Due to software requirements, the users all have administrative priviliges on there machines. I've been messing with this for a little while and can't figure how to lock out users. Even if you remove the icon from the system tray, the SAV icon is still under start > programs. Any tips please? Thanks in advance.

From the System Center in the realtime protection settings you'll see little "padlocks". For the settings you don't want your users to be able to change, you have to click it to a closed lock. After you make the changes, you'll have to hit the Reset All to effect change to your network clients.

Wow...that little padlock is so overlooked and that was the trick :). Thank you.
