Howdy all,

I created a query and form that allows the user select a record based on date of birth and I added a command box that will display the selected record. This works fine. The problem is that periodically, the prompt to enter a date of birth will popup intermittently and stay on focus. I honestly have no clue where to begin to correct this. I've looked at the properties for the form and nothing jumps out that would cause this action. Can you please point me in the right direction. BTW, I'm using Access97. I've thought about consolidating the searchs (by name, by dob, by location, by memberID) into one form, but I'm not sure how to do that, yet.

Many thanks for your advice, it's always been extremely helpful.

I guess the query don't use a form's textbox as parameter, so the InputBox popup each time the form is requeried, refreshed, recalculated ...

Hope This Helps, PH.
