Hi all,

We have a number of tasks in our project template that we want to prevent project managers from deleting. These particular tasks are used for reporting and views (we're using MS Project Pro and Server 2003).

Is there any way to protect an individual task?

Thanks,
Phyllis

If you want to prevent them from deleting the tasks from the template, just update your server permissions so they don't have update permissions on templatees.

If you want to prevent them from deleting the tasks from the plan, you can't. If you can open the plan for update then you can do any updates you want.

This is _not_ a MS Project issue. This definitely _is_ a process issue within your organization.
