preventing folder creation

Hi, would anybody happen to know a way to prevent windows from always creating those default folders such as "My Pictures" within My documents? This 'convience' is almost as bad as the auto-formatting in Word.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Sorry, I forgot to include something. I found a registry entry under

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\shell folders

in which there is an entry called "My Pictures" and "My Video". Will deletion of these keys solve my problem, or cause new problems?
