Hello all-
I'm looking for a way to prevent the dreaded err 15 from killing data by attempting to avoid it all together. Sure back-ups let you restore it, but there are times when someone is not available to fix the corruption or backups are forgotten. Does anyone have any tips or tricks for avoiding file header damage? If so, please let me know. Thanks in advance,
BKtechie

After giving this some thought, I think I am going to write a file opening process and file closing process that will automatically back up data any time a file is closed and check the validity of the file upon opening. If its corrupt, replace with the backup.
