PREVENT USERS TO ENTER MANUALLY - NON INVENTORY ITEMS IN PO

The users are typing something or other items i.e colour , pallets which are not set up in the item master and they are entering manually in PO and thereafter receiving it through receiving. we have set up no items can be recieved without PO.

Is there a way to prevent users to type the items which are not set up in item master

In setup you can limit users from entering non inventory items. Unmark this feature and users will not be able to enter non inventory items.

I have checked the purhasing and inventory set up's - Tools - set up - purchasing etc but I could not find it. could you specify where this option is available.

you don't have that option in purchase order processing.

you'll need some sort of vb thing to prevent non inventoried purchases

sorry no, we no longer use GP for purchasing and when we did, we needed to do non inventory purchases
