prevent users from receipting POs or inventory transactions during stock count

Hi, I'm looking for a way to prevent users from inventory transactions (PO receipts, internal usage) during stock count time.
I can either lock the module but then I can't post IC adjustments for the stock counts, or remove and add permissions to users using a macro.
I'm leaning towards a macro and was wondering whether anyone has done changing user authorisations via a macro and could share some code?

Why? You don't have to stop any transactions, physical inventory takes a snapshot.

Ditto - create a physical inventory worksheet at the time the count is done and you do not have to stop processing. You could also tell the users not to post any PO receipts etc that will affect inventory - or are you working with complete idiots?

I wouldn't say idiots but certainly some just don't care and in the countries we're in there is not a great choice of people with English skills.

There is no need to lock anything. All you need is a warehouse manager who understands than any physical change in the inventory on the shelf after the worksheet has been created must be noted so that it is not double counted.
