prevent PHP to add a \ before each ` entered

Hi,

PHP add a \ before each ` entered by the keyboard in a text box, I want to prevent PHP to do this.

I try to change the magic_quotes_gpc to off but it does not resolve de problem.

Then just use the stripslashes() function before you do any processing. <

I do not like to touch the processing part (program), I looking for (if it is exist) a parameter like magic_quote_gpc.. to change..

I terned off the parameter : magic_quotes_gpc to Off but when I display get_magic_quotes_gpc(), it display always 1 !!

1. Did you restart the server after making the change?
2. Did you check if you are editing correct php.ini file. To make sure which one is in use, make a simple script consisting only of <?php phpinfo(); ?>. The output of that will among other things tell you which php.ini file is used.
