I know that this is probably going to make me very unpopular..... but, does anyone know of a method to prevent network games from being played across a NT4 network?
Am I thinking along the right lines by suggesting that you can block the port that they use? Does anyone know of a simple method of doing this, preferably server side? I also have a Gnat box firewall if this can be used?

Many thanx..

If all the Computers are communicating via the Server only then you can block the gameports on the server. Otherwise you have a small problem.

Ok. you could install a Firewall on each workstation, but that could be done if you have only some PCs to administrate.

I have a few Macs (biggest culprits) playing UT and MOHAA, they aren't seen on the NT network by the PCs, only via appletalk though they are using Apple IP networking on the NT network, one of the Macs (randomly take it in turn) usually hosts the games, the PCs and the restof the Macs then home in on that 'server'.
I think, trying to block individual machines may be difficult, though not impossible. Just hoped that there was an easier method, I'm sure I'm not the first person to have encountered this problem.

Many thanx for your advice.
