Hi, I am using access to filter and create queries on a high load database, but access always locks the external database (or rather i assume it tries to lock it, and will if it can). I can see no way to prevent this happening, and even though it is only locked for a couple of seconds, it has caused problems with the remote DB. Is there any way to force it to leave it unlocked? the only locking options i've found are for the Access db itself, which is not applicable (and are set to not lock anyway)

Cheers

Chris
