Prevent List view Flash

I have a listView that is updated completely several times a second. The problem is though that it is constantly flashing because of this. I think the problem is that it paints itself white or clear itself then populates itself.
Is there a windows message that I can capture or some other method of preventing this?

Have you looked at the Update() function dereferenced from the ListView? Cyprus
