We have a S8300 running CM 5.2 I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to prevent employees from using an outside line to dial other departments that have extensions on the switch. In other words, our DID range is 7300-7599. For whatever reason, rather than dialing me at extension 7399, Joe User dials 9,555-7399. I see the call come in to my extension over the PRI. Obviously this is not a great use of that trunk group....and I also can't see the display name of who is calling me, just their extension.

How do I tell the switch when it sees 955573xx through 955575xx to ignore the first four numbers and just dial the extension?

I know that user education goes a long way here, but they've been told....and told again....and told again, but they still don't get it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

You can use the ARS Digit Conversion Table to grab the dialed number and send it to the extension.
