What I would have thought was a FAQ turns out not to be...

Does anyone have a recommendation for a "pretty printer" to reformat the layout of COBOL programs. We have about a dozen that have not seen developers in years. I would like to reformat them in hopes of improving their readability as we undergo a major upgrade.

Any suggestions on both reformaters/pretty printers, and code analyzers would be appreciated. Free options, at least to test drive, would be even better.

Thanks!

Sorry, I should have been more specific. I did a google (and got the same result). I was hoping someone may have experience with one they would recommend.

Just found a post for a product called "RainCode" from Rainsoft in the "Code Reuse & Migration" forum (see thread438-520510). Haven't used this product, but bookmarked the reference for future trial.

Sorry, no recommendations to offer.

There used to be one built into the IBM COBOL compiler. Haven't used it for about 30 years. Maybe the latest compiler still has one.
