PreSubmissionQueue explodes!

I have an E2K w/sp3 wich stands in 100% on the Store.exe process (Information Store), and the "PreSubmissionQueue" falls and rises to up to 100.000. At the same time I monitor Smtp sent/sec, recvd/sec and delivered/sec, and there is almost no activity....?

I don't get it, and the server is almost useless as it stands...
