How do I set this up on a BCM 200 3.7 software?
I want to have our receptionist forward calls to extensions and when the voicemail play to have the users press 6 to page them throughout the building.

All the documentation says is the following....

"With Park and Page external callers can press 6 to page a mailbox subscriber while they listen to
the subscriber’s personal greeting or record a message. When the caller presses 6, the system parks
the call and pages to paging zone, overhead paging system or both and the caller hears “One
moment, please”."

It doesnt say anywhere how to set this up. As it is now if I call in to my voicemail and press 6 it goes right to leaving a message, no park n page.

Any help is appreciated.

I tried that and it didnt work.
When I am inside a callers VM box I dont understand how a CCR tree path 6 would have any bearing on a key that is pressed from inside a callers personal voicemail box?

What am I missing?

Park and page will only work from an auto attendant/CCR tree - not from a subscriber mailbox.

Why does the BCM documentation say this?

"With Park and Page external callers can press 6 to page a mailbox subscriber while they listen to
the subscriber’s personal greeting or record a message. When the caller presses 6, the system parks
the call and pages to paging zone, overhead paging system or both and the caller hears “One
moment, please”."

That to me read that while I am within a subscribers mailbox I press 6 to park the call and page them.......

Maybe I will have to phone ITAS on this one....I will let you know what they say.

Now that I look at the docs, it appears that it is possible from a mailbox (never knew that, used to only be from auto attendant).

However, the docs refer to checking off "park and page" in the mailbox properties, which I don't see listed. Doesn't show up in the class of service either.

Looks like you may have uncovered a documentation bug. Might be worth a call to Nortel to see what this is all about.

You can Park And Page from a subscribers mailbox
on a CP 100 I know for sure.

I called Nortel and they said that this is not available on the integrated version of Callpilot on the BCM's. Why it appears in the BCM documentation, I don't know.

The support person I spoke to seemed confident that this feature was going to be added in version 4.0 or the next patch for callpilot.

Thanks for all the info on this one....

Kevin

I just checked and it is available on the BCM 50, so I would guess that it probably would be available in BCM 4.0.

My guess about the documentation is that they "cut-n-paste" quite a bit between the BCM and CallPilot 100/150's, and nobody paid attention to that part...
