I am looking at buying the HP Photosmart 8050 printer.
As with all inkjet printers the ink cartridges will dry out if not used for extended periods of time.
I am looking into ways to preserve the ink cartridges to prevent them from drying out while not in use for extended periods of time.
For example, the 8050 has one cartridge storage holder with a snap-on cover intended to preserve a cartridge not in active use.
I have also been told that gently wrapping an inkjet cartridge in a slightly damp cloth and then placing both items within a zip-lock baggie is a good way to further prolong the life of these cartridges.
If anyone has any other tips on how to preserve inkjet cartridges, I would appreciate any advice.
Thanks in advance.
