Hi...

I'm upgrading Sharepoint 2005 to 2007 on a standalone Server 2003 Service Pack 2 machine, but I'm having a problem with the prescan.

All the windows updates and service pack 2s are installed, but when I run the prescan I get the following error in the log:

01/18/2008 22:39:47 Skipping virtual server: Server state = NeedExtend. Most likely this virtual server is not extended with WSS v2.

What does this mean?
Is there anything specific that needs to go into the preupgradescanconfig.xml file?

I know it's not exactly the error you get or the upgrade you are doing, but this KB article talks about problems with prescan.exe during the upgrade from WSS 2 to WSS 3. I thought it might give you a lead to the answer you need.
