I got this syndrom with win2k server.
It is so weird, it tooks about problably 2-3 hours to go to login screen.

I suspect the DNS server, but nothing I can think of that can fix this problem. And also probably because my 3rd party firewall ?? but isnj't the firewall only activate after it login ??

When it unplug the network card, it shows loging screen in like 15 min.

Anyone can help me ?
Thanks

A) Firewall software generally runs as a service and is started before you login, but that doesn't sound like your problem.

B) Why do you suspect DNS? Doesn't sound likely.

C) When it does finally boot with the network card in, does everything work ok?

D) Is this a new server? If not, did it boot ok before? Did you recently change anything?

E) Check your event logs. I would expect you to see some errors, but if not, look at the last few services to fire up.

Thank you for the help, but I fix it ;P.

It is the DNS server indeed. I did not set the reverse address. Add it and it works like magic only take less than 5 min to get the logon screen :p.

Thank you
