I am trying to prepare data for OLAP and was wondering if anyone is using a specific tool to denormalize their data.

If you are using the tools within MS SQL, perhaps someone could provide an example of a query or DTS package.

Thanks

There are tools available, but tend to be Enterprise tools...at enterprise prices. I have tended to write custom SQL extracts for this sort of thing.

It depends on how logical the database design is, and what the data quality is like. Where possible get any errors fixed at source and not during your extract.

Try posting this question in the OLAP forum in the 'Project and Data Management' group. My home ----> My company ->
