Premiere 2 output

Hi all,I uses a canopus card that has both Video/audio in and out. On the output I use a TV Monitor. If I open edius 3 I can change from the input video to input file and I can view both on the output monitor.
If I open premiere 2 from boot I can open and view a avi clip on the output monitor. However when I do a capture I can view the input video on the monitor, thats ok. After capture and inserting the clip on the timeline the monitor stays on the input video. Is there a way in which the input video can be switched to the clip and vica versa so it appears on the monitor, like it does in Edius 3?
