hi all,

i'm relatively new to premier pro - although i do think it is brilliant!!

i have a video clip that i have imported a soundtrack onto, all i need to do is reduce the original sound so that it plays in the background and the added track can be heard over the top - any help would be great

thanks guys!

Several ways.

Possibly the easiest is to right click on the original audio on the timeline and reduce the audio gain.

Another way is to alter track options to show clip volume and then use the pen tool to drag the 'rubber band' volume line downwards to reduce volume.

Track audio level and the audio mixer are other ways.
