Premier exe. error

I keep getting an error message,
"Premier exe. has generated errors and will be closed by windows, you will need to restart program, an error log has been created."
I'm using a "Dell Workstation 620" with windows 2000, and a Canopus DVRaptor capture card. I am at a loss with trouble shooting. Any Ideas?
