Premicells taking 15 seconds to connect calls

We've just had a new Avaya system installed with 3 Ericsson Premicells.

The problem we're having is the time it takes to dial/connect calls.

The average time is 12-15 seconds to connect to mobiles, which is driving us mad as we are a call centre and have to make loads of calls per day.

The supplier has tried reducing the time, but with no effect.

Is this a know issue?

Any ideas would be greatly recieved

are they on analogue trunks or bri?

thought so. i would say the issue is with the premicells not "answering" quickly enough.

What settings did the installer change?

Call through premicells are slower than standard trunks and if you are calling mobiles through the premicells then that is why you have that delay.

A call to a mobile through a PRI/BRI is usually 8-10 secs before the phone ringing, through alog is slower and add a premicell in there you have a bit more.
