Preloader using getbytesloaded and getbytestotal doesn't work.

Ok, Old, you tried helping me with preloader problems before, but what is up with this?...

go to the partners page, then go one of the bottom links real quick after its done loading..........it wont have like 1/2 the pages loaded...why does it do that?...I have the same code you told me to use.

Old, yes, it was your code. For some reason it did the same thing with the depreciated 'ifframesloaded' function.

Why wouldn't it count pictures, and other items in the preload?...also, old, do you have an alternative to me e-mailing you?...this fla is pretty large, and I know hotmail is a real pain when it comes to any file over 200k anymore...sheesh.

I will post all the FLA's in a folder on our site...I'll zip them up under eaglerock.zip

I warn you, its like 34mb (Includes EVERYTHING)...also, if you can recommend anything on the site, etc...it would be appreciated. the boss wanted the site that way, but soon I will be building my own free-thought site...one thats design is based on what I want. =) Regards,

and even on DSL I can get these results.

The files are being uploaded at this moment (3:33pm eastern time)
it will be a while...

But if you load eaglerockpropertiesinc.com's website, click partners, and while its 'loading...' move your mouse down and over the main part of the page, and try to click EagleRock Partners or whatever that last button was (I forget)...and watch. Notice the page number, notice the very first letter of the paragraph on the page, and also other messed up things on the page. But once you get there, and start moving around, everything works again. Regards,

Ok! It wasn't my code! It was the way you used it!
BTW, some other curiosities in the code of your main movie, such as your unloading of movies. When loading a new movie on a level where there was another movie already loaded, there's no need to unload the previous movie. The new loaded movie will automatically replace the previous one.

As for my preloader code, if you put it in it's own scene, the first one in the scene order, as described in my post in this thread250-200895, everything loads fine in your part.swf, and it's only displayed when it's all loaded!
