Just curious about what methods everybody is using to clone 10g databases. Are most people still doing "manual" cloning from cold or hot backups? using RMAN? exports/imports? or is anybody using the new Enterprise Manager clone function?

any comments would be appreciated..

RMAN is faster because you can do it in parallel.
And you can either "Restore to new server" or "Duplicate" the database.

PS: I may be incorrect, but I beleive the OEM clone database functionality uses RMAN.

is there a difference between "restore to new server" and "duplicate database"??

The rman process is different, restore to new server does not require connection to source database while duplicate does require conectivity to source database.
