Preferred Browser

Hey ppl,
I have built a ls4 and ls5 server both using sql7 backend. I am getting an error when logging onto the ls5 student page saying "the preferred version of this browser is netscape navigator 4.06 - using an older version may result in incorrect functionality" - this happens no matter which version of internet explorer I am using to access the student page.

Now the course we have made 'has' to run on IE due to reasons beyond my control...so I am wondering how I disable that error message appearing for the students. It will only confuse them and I would prefer to take it off. Any help would be greatly appreaciated!

are you using Iexplorer 6? LS 5 doesn´t work with it.

Go to Lotus's support website

http://www-3.ibm.com/software/lotus/support/),

select LS5 as your product. Then go to the Downloadable files and then search on 188823(the doc id for this problem). There is a LearningSpace Patch C that addresses this problem. Just download the file and follow the install instructions. That should remove the message. It did on my server. Good luck.
