I have a customer with a BCM 3.7 using a T1 interface to a
predictive dialer. System has (2) PRI's for inbound and outbound.
The clock on the circuits are setup up as follows:
(2) PRI's are primary and seconday
(1) T1 - Master.
User's have no issues dialing out on the PRI's.
I have setup a remote package so the T1 trunks can dial out the PRI.
The problem that is occurring - intermittently the dialer is not
grabbing the PRI channel for outbound - I am watching on BCM monitor.
I can see the dialer grab the T1 channel and alert, then I see a
status of dialing, when look at the status of the PRI channel, there
are times where I do not see a channel being grabbed for outbound.
The dialer vendor has modified pauses, but if the call goes through
it is hit or miss.
I am repeatedly getting an event code of 263 - which is "Invalid disconnect sequence error on an analog trunk line". I believe this is due to the dialer dropping the call, but it not clearing properly on the T1 channel.
I lowered the disconnect timer on the T1 lines to 60.
What I feel is happening is that due to this event, the T1 channel goes into a no new calls state for a period of time, while the dialer is trying to choose that channel again.

I am looking for ideas of what to look at or modify to get the T1 channel back into a useable state faster.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would start by installing the latest SU and core patch if its not allready done.
Latest SU is SU3 and latest core is BCM370.249-CORE both around a year old.

Try changing the timing to secondary. Master is for point to point T1.

Thank you for your responses, but:

The patches are up to date.
The T1 was changed to Master since essentially the dialer is the other end of the point to point.
The T1 was initially secondary clock source and the new PRI was timing master - same problem, so I changed the T1 to timing master hoping that it would sense a disconnect.

Anything else come to mind?

What type of signaling are you using for the span connected to the Dialer?
