Hi,

I need some assistance on a little problem which I can't seem to get working..

We have 2 groups of users on 1 site who dial out on the same bearer. At the moment, our telecoms provider blocks CLI going out, this is shortly to change so CLIP is enabled.

1 group will present that number when dialling but I need the 2nd group not to present anything. The best way I can see to do this is to pre 141 when they do a 9 for an external number. 141 is a BT feature which blocks CLI when dialling out. I will need to create a new Cust group for those users and add the PRE - I've done some testing though and can't seem to get it working.

DEST DRN ROU CHO CUST ADC TRC SRT NUMACK PRE
9 1 0005000000000250000000000 0 2 0
1 1 0005000000000250000000000 0 2 0
2 2 0005000000000250000000000 0 2 0
3 3 0005000000000250000000000 4 5 0 141

Does anyone have any idea on how to get this implemented. Do I need to change anything in the Number Analysis to take into the account the extra 3 digits (141)?

Regards

Rou 3 pre 141, TRC=1 (the 9) and SRT=1

You're sending 141 to line, this is a common method of shielding for certain users in the UK,

Thanks prenum. That works

But...

At the moment, when I press 9 for an outside line, it seizes the line straightaway (I get the dialtone). This means I think is that it dials the number as I'm going along.

Where as, with the new cust I've just configured using the PRE, I don't get the dialtone when I do 9 and I have a 5-6 second delay after I've entered the number before it starts ringing. Is there anyway to seize control of the line as soon as I do 9. I've tried changing the SRT with no joy.

It might be the case that it can't be done as it might only add the PRE after the full number has been entered. Does anybody know if my assumption is correct?

You are correct, your RODDI is set ADC dig1=0 for immediate seizure but you have to enter the number before it is sent with the PRE.
