Hi Guys;

After repeated requests for information from the sales team and an install from hell yesterday... onto an install tomorrow that the sales rep has said "you know these guys, they don't have their S$*t together!" (yeah, he was referring to the customer).

I've (more than) had it.

Documentation is (obviously) the key. So, onto my dumb question. Is there a document that anyone is interested in sharing (or a link to one). Mostly, for my own sanity.

I could re-invent the wheel (create a document) or submit myself to the mercy of the Tek-Tips forum and ask for help.

Any guidance is ALWAYS appreciated.

This looks intimidating at first. But there are hidden pages that allow you to take export the config from your blank system, copy and paste sections from this workbook, and import back to the system, automatically configuring your users.

I would be interested to see what others are using, just in terms of data gathering from the customer, hitting the high points of what you need for a successful implementation.

What you need to know before you install the system:

IP addresses for all devices/applications
Users with DDI/CLI voicemail, applications and ofcourse extension number
groups with type, users, voicemail, announcement and queuing
incoming call routes with destination (including voicemail scripts)
Button programming
Voicemail scripts inclusing the greetings, we always do the greetings and provide a module where the customer can rerecord these greetings as this will save you a lot of installation time.

Also make a checklist for yourself like stuff that you can easily forget power settings on a voicemail PC or a stupic fax that does not work or the emergency number.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Thank you both,

@Tommy;

that was the kind of doc I was hoping to jam down my sales rep"s" throats! Perhaps, with a "Do not pass go, go directly to" IPO.

Thanks for the springboard.

Still open to the idea of sharing documents though...
