Pre-employment testing Verizon/Qwest 1

I'm sorry if my question is outside the focus of this thread,I wasn't sure where to post it! My question is this: both Verizon and Qwest have asked me to travel to their nearest testing site to complete a pre-employment test and once passed I can then be considered for possible employment!
Does anyone have any first hand experience in these tests?
And what i might expect!

They have both a Quest and a Verizon forum and I know that the Verizon forum is visited by Verizon employees often!!
