I have a job which must run after a successful backup using veritas Backup Exec 9.1

Is there a way of running a script that checks whether successful backup has taken place. This takes place overnight and is unmanned, making an email or pop up alert of no use.

e.g. Check if backup has taken place and if so, write text file backupok.txt
The subsequent job can then check if bacupok.txt exists and if it does continue with job.

you need to look at bemcmd.exe - this is command line giving all sorts of details on the backups etc. would think this is what you need.

Thanks.

Will try this and let you know how I get on.
