Hello all.
I`me a consultant implementing a backup solution on Networker 5.5.1 on Windows/NT.

I`me trying to setup PRE and POST command execution and here is what I have stumbled against:

A) If I use SAVEPNPC the commands are executed as the "Default user"
Can we change this?

B) If I use a nsr???.bat command, this script is executed for each save set, thuis strating/stopping application on each save!
Can we start and stop only on the first and last save set?

Any hints would be appreciated
Thanks

Hi there,

You are specifying to use the savepnpc command under Backup Command yes? You can also set the Remote Username and Password, when you do this, this will execute the scripts as the user you specified as the Remote User. You should also check the Server Setup and add the proper accounts. For example, Domain Admins@domain for global groups or Administrators@backupservername or Administrators@* lets all admins, locally or globally perform functions.

Remove the save set All from the client creation. Specify the individual partitions. Example Save Sets:
C:D:E:System State:Repairdisk:
This will only run the precommand once, then backup all the above listed save sets, then run the postcommand. There is confirmation in the Networker Administrator Guide, under Backup Command Customization.

Hope this helps.
