Hi all,

I've had a Mandrake SNF7.2 box protecting our WAN for about a year now, however, Mandrake are retiring the product later this year. On this basis I've been looking at replacements. Having looking at Smoothwall, Mandrake MNF and IPCop I've seen that they all support VPN connections.

Has anyone any practicle experience in setting up VPN's for 'road warriors' using the above products?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

I haven't used any of the above for remote vpn clients. I haven't used them because I just don't like the products. Astaro is great. There's a lengthy post about it somewhere on the security forum here.
Here's a link to the remote vpn client that comes with astaro.

Hope this helps.

PS - Astaro installs off a bootable CD, and runs on a hardened linux kernel.

Cool upcoming game! Check it out!
