PPXLServer.XLA & Excel 2003

I have recently started with a new company using Cognos Powerplay and the machine I have been provided has Office 2003 but an older version 7 of PPXLServer.XLA addin which says is not compatible with Office Version 11.

If I am able to get my hands on the newer PPXLServer.XLA addin will the server side solution require upgrading to enable it to work?

If I am unable to lay my hands on it from our IT department will I be able to download it from somewhere else?
