Hi to all.

I have a question using PPTP VPN on Win2003.

It work well if I permit all tcp outgoing traffic on the client, but if I permit only tcp 1723 I have a logon problem:
the connection stop at "Verify username and password"...

After a port-sniffing it look like Windows need another random port for logon VPN user

How i can do? I don't want to open all outgoing traffic to my users... somebody can help me?

Greetings

Hi ilceres.

The PPTP client normally uses TCP 1723 and Protocol GRE(Protocol 47). Try permitting TCP 1723 and GRE on the outgoing traffic and then try to connect.

Good Luck.
