I have two different Windows 2003 SBS both with ADSL internet connections.

I have setup RRAS on both servers.

The problem is that I cannot get 2-way communications between the servers. If I connect "server A" > "server B", I can ping "server B" from "server A" but if I ping "server A" from "Server B", there is no reply.

The exact same happens if I make the VPN connection from "Server B" to "Server A". Only the connecting server can ping the server it connects to.

Can anyone tell me what I could be doing wrong?

Thanks in advance

I think I am having a similar problem, however my communication works one way (From London to Birmingham) no matter which server initiates the VPN.

My first thoughts were Routing problems, all traffic initiated from Birmingham can reach the VPN box in London, anything after that fails.

Did you have any joy solving this?

Thanks in advance!

For 2-way Gateway to gateway tunneling, check out this link:

It descibes a method of tunneling by using IPSec policies to route encrypted packets over the net. NO authentication, no dial-up. Authentication is done by entering pre-shared keys or by using certificates.
And it works very well, as long as you use at least win2k SP4 or win XP SP1 or 2003.

Let me know if it helps you out.

Anyone any new thoughts on what this problem could be?

I'm still having the same problem. Any luck PMCheetham?

Thanks in advance!
