This is stricktly a home network with two computers running XP Professional. My ISP is wireless (Digitalpath.Net). They are set up VPN, IPSec and PPTP. The lead-in from their antenna is connected to my Linksys EtherFast 5-Port Hub and my two computers are connected to ports on the same hub via their ethernet ports. My user name and password are resident in each computer and are used for each session on the internet.
I have recently subscribed to Vonage VoIP and received a kit containing a Motorola VT1000v terminal and cables. All attempts by myself, with "help" from the Digitalpath and Vonage techs, have been unsuccessful in achieving dial tone over the internet using any and all of the connection types in the Motorola manual.
My packet loss tests are usually 0% and my ISP has recommended that I "might" want to buy a $300 router from them.
Does anyone have anything to offer on this subject?
