Hi,

I've got a problem with the state of text boxes in a presentation in ppt 2007. I copied a block of text from a 2003 ppt presentation to a new ppt 2007 presentation.

Now in that new ppt 2007 presentation, the text in any new text box seems to be offset, a bit like superscript, but all the setting seems to be normal. but anything involving the text boxes is now broken. for instance, the bullets and numbers have disappeared altogether.

also, this problem exists even if I close ppt down and open a brand new presentation in 2007 format. so it's almost as though the text format in my ppt is completely broken.

I've also installed the latest sp1 for office and it hasn't fixed the problem.

thanks for any help!!

Probably the fastest way to solving the problem is changing the default driver to one that is Microsoft certified for the Windows version. Find the closest printer driver that shipped with Windows and install it. Also, don't forget to make it your default printer.

thanks, but it's not a display problem. it's a problem within ppt. it's a bug with the actual text that you enter into the text boxes.

No problem. I take it you don't want to humour an old codger.

alright, just checked. The driver is Microsoft certified...going to try re-installing ppt, but I don't have high hopes.

If go to Office Button; PowerPoint Options; Advanced; Cut, Copy & Paste and see if there is a checkmark beside Show Paste Options. If not, turn it on.

Then you paste you should see an options button which gives you the option to keep source format or use destination format.
