Hi,
I'm currently using Debian 2.2 with a connection to ADSL using pppoe. When I try to access a large document or a large directory via telnet or ftp it stalls out. Does anyone know why?

Check to see that the NIC card is good. Maybe it's busted.

Hope this helps!!!

No it's not the nic because within my network it works great. This is only when I connect from outside my firewall. I know it's not the firewall because I tried it on my windows machine and it's fine. When I had a permanent DSL connection(not pppoe), everything seemed fine as well. Do you think it could have something to do with the amount of data the nic is trying to handle?
