Ok, this is driving me nuts (said the pirate with the steering wheel down his pants)

I have a 403 and a 401, both with an Adtran TSU 120 connected via a v.35 cable. There is a T1 between sites.
The Adtrans are all green....
I've configured the wan service, the user, and etc. according to the help in the manager application and I cannot get the WAN pipe to send packets back and forth for the life of me.
Anybody got GOOD good instructions or screenshots of a working configuration?

Have you configured the Wan link for the correct speed (in ras)?

also I try to keep the service names, usernames & passwords the same for both ends because it causes less confusion (to me anyway)

If you are still stuck I will try to post a sample CFG on my FTP server (when I get it running)

Do this in reverse, send me the config that you are using an d I will take a look at it. This should be easy...I just threw that in to piss you off.

Email me and I will help you out.

IPGuru, yeah it's a full T1 at 1536000. I used the same same/password each way too - remote/remote for simplicity.
I can see the packets (via monitor) attempting to use the WAN link, plenty of TX packets, but no RX. On both sides.

kflounders, I can't see your email address...

I will post a couple of example files on my FTP server tonight

FTP://ipguru.no-ip.info pub/ipoffice/examples.

The files are there now - Wan-site1.cfg & wan-site2.cfg
they are based on actual working configs, but have been modified to remove all the customers information.

Hopefully I have not introduced any errors in the process.

Can't get to the ftp site, nor is it pingable...

Nevermind, got in with a CLI ftp client...
Noticed that you have VJ compression and StacLZS enabled on the service. Could be the difference.
Does the WAN service name need to be the same as the username (link) Another difference.

the wan service name at site a is the user vame for site B & vice versa.
I keep them the same for simplicity.

I do not think the compression options are important, I think on most of our sites they are disabled.

OK, then everything that is important is set the same way on my setup. I'll need to start looking at the T1 or Adtrans... Thanks for the assist..

Just to close out this thread; it turned out to be that one of the Adtrans was set for 56k channels instead 64.
I was hoping it was one of those stupid things that are fixed in a second, but it's just so frustrating when it takes so long to find it.

So not an IPO fault for a change, that will please the Guys at Avaya

Thanks for the closure, this is how we all progress & a star for finding the cause
