Iam runnig sco 5.X.X and at times the PPP gets hung and I cant seem to reset it by just killing off /etc/pppd.pid.
I end up rebooting the entire system to get PPP to start working correclty. Is there a way to restart PPP correctly
with out restarting the entire TCP/IP processes.
I have already tried
a) kill -1 `/etc/pppd.pid`
b) kill -16 `/etc/pppd.pid`
c) grep for /etc/pppd and kill off the process and restart
/etc/ppp.
none of the above seems to work unless i reboot.
Is there an easier/better way to reset PPP.
thanks
