When I run gnome-ppp, it gets connected to the net but within a minute my connection drops, I know it isnt my isp because it will still connect with windows (which im using now), what is wrong with my net???

thanx in advance skottieb:)

Hi,

Does it go disconnected when line is active (surfing with browser), or because of inactivity (have a look at /var/log/messages when it occurs) ? There's an idle time in /etc/ppp/options, that souldn't be used if you don't want automatic logout...

By the way, welcome to the Slackware universe !

thanx, I changed from gnome to kde, no probs now... Thanx for the welcome skottieb:)
