PPP Control Properties (dial up connection)

Dear All

Any suggestions for the resolution of the following error:

Error 720: The connection attempt failed because your computer and the remote computer could not agree on PPP control properties.

I am trying to dial into a local ISP from a machine I have just built from scratch using backup tapes. Net bios seems to be ok and there is an entry in the registry for this (this was a microsoft knowledge base suggestion). I am totally stuck and not sure of any paths down which to turn in getting this niggling little connection working

Any suggestions much appreciated

why dont you check your setting on that PPP connection, and see if they meet the settings of your ISP A+, MCP, CCNA
