PPES - Publish to ReportNet

hi

I am getting error "Could not login to Upfront" from Powerplay client when i try to publish the report.

1. The portal settings in PPES is set to ReportNet
2. The reportnet Gateway, dispatcher, Cube folder and reportnet report folder paths are set
3. I am able to publish the cubes from PPES to portal
4. The Powerplay reports added in PPES also failing to publish.
5. Both reportNet and Series 7 using same namespace

any suggestions, thanks in advance.

1. set the Portal property on PPES to ReportNet
2. Update reportnet gateway and dispatcher properties of reportnet in PPES

3. Add the cubes to PPES
4. Update the ReportNet folder path in PPES cube folder properties
5. ReportNet path should be the search path in cognos conneciton
6. Click publish to portal from PPES

i must warn you that there is a slight noticeable delay when u access cube or reports from reportnet than from upfront. Cognos says this will be improved in comng versions.

I followed your steps and get a "Multiple Eooros"
it said "Errors were encountered while trying to publish the following objects"

Is there anything i sliped?

I would imagine you have tried to publish a folder directly and some of the cubes/reports in that folder publishing failed.

Are you able to see any new items in Cognos Connection?
What happens when you try to publish a single cube?
Have you configured the Reportnet gateway, dispatcher, folder properties correctly?

I would suggest to you and others who are going to take this kind of action, not to go ahead.

I am forced to revert the changes I did in eliminating the upfront. Users started complaining that the reports are very slow when accessed from reportnet.

I'll wait for future releases of reportnet, hopefully they look at this.
