Hello

Passport 8610 3.3.4 to 3.7.7

I have just upgraded my passport 8610 to software version 3.7.7 from 3.3.4

I now get the following error msg when saving and exiting through Device Manager V5.8.5.0

rcSysAction.0: notWritable

Does anyone know what the above error msg means?

I followed the upgrade note from Nortel to the letter...

Hi there,

I've had the same message when we upgraded our PP8600 from 3.5.3 to 3.7.5 a while ago. I haven't been able to find the exact cause but I presumed it had something to do with the amount of memory 3.7.x needs in comparison to 'older' releases. We used the 8191 (128MB) for this upgrade, it is advisible to have the 8192 (256MB) installed from release 3.7.x because of the ammount of memory being used.

Again I'm not really sure but check your memory usages, it could be a cause.

Regards

Hi JeroeNortel

Before upgrading to version 3.7 we installed 256MB into all are Switch Fabrics, as advise in the Nortel Docs.
