I need to make a powerpoint presentation on the history of computers. Does anyone know where I can find one or have one available that I can use/modify.

Thanks

I see no one has responded with an offer of their own PowerPoint presentation. I don't have one either, but I would offer the following (proven) advice: Simply use an internet search engine. I use "Google", considered by many to be THE best.

I searched for "PowerPoint Presentation History of Computers", and came up with several sites, such as the following:

I hope this "points you in the right direction". This particular presentation might not "cover the waterfront" in terms of what you are after. But it will be a start, and no doubt there will be many other PowerPoint presentations on the History of Computers. You just have to do a little "surfing" and "exploring". And as you probably know, it is really easy to copy and paste slides from one PowerPoint presentation to another, so you can "build your own" by picking and choosing from others.

I hope this helps.

Dale,

I just tried to access the link that you provided and I got a done message with a blank screen. If you would be so kind as to send this to me I would really appreciate it.

Thanks rregner@salemsupport.com

Hi rry2k,

I just tried the same link from the above posting, and it worked for me. Perhaps there might be some "configuration problem" required for your PC, or perhaps an "update" to your internet communication software. (I have to "generalize" because this is NOT an area where I can offer specific advice.)

Anyway, I have downloaded the same PowerPoint file, and will email it to you.

I just found what looks to be what I'm looking for.
The problem is: when I download it, I get a message that says, "can't open file of type yada yada.ppt. I'm running 2000 so I wouldn't think I have a problem with an older version.

the link is:
Thanks..russ
