I was able to pick up 3 EBCS (used) for my powerware 9150 to avert a major outage scheduled for this saturday night (building wide).
I connected them and powered them up, but when I snmp walk the WEB/SNMP card, or check the battery status, I am still showing 18 minutes of uptime where I should have substantially more.
I read the in the manual "a service representative must change the battery size parameter in the non volatile memory to reflect the correct number of battery strings after installing EBC’s”.
Unfortunately the consultant that sourced them has no idea what to do next, Powerware's techs wont come without 2 weeks notice, and phone support has been 100% non helpful.
The web/snmp card allows for pass through commands to be sent directly to the ups, possibly to "change the battery size parameter", but I can not find any documentation or even use some sort of /? switch to figure out what commands are available.
If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it, I am in a real bind on this one.
