POWERPOINT97 inserting pictures???

Help,
I'm new to powerpoint, trying to do a tutorial for an Excel97 program I wrote.

I would like to be able to put pictures of the Excel forms and the Excel spreadsheets in the presentation.
A regular copy or cut and paste will not work. The spreadsheet will not scale down to go onto the slide.

Any help or guidance in the right directions would be great.

We meet again,
One way I like doing these things is as follows:
I minimize my excel window to isolate the area I want to show, then I simply take a screen shot of the workbook and paste it onto paint. Save the pasted picture as a bitmap(tho bitmaps are bigger than gifs) and work with it.
