When I open Powerpoint97 new organization chart, I get an error message "orgchart source file cannot be found". I reinstalled Powerpoint but still get the same error message.

Did you uninstall Powerpoint before you reinstalled ?
Try that and see if it works.
What this usually means is that Powerpoint is looking in the wrong file path for the orgchart.exe file. To fix it, do a complete uninstall of Office 97 using eraser97 (do a search on the download: no spaces between eraser and 97), then reinstall Office ---OR--- if you know how to edit your registry, find your orgchart.exe on your C:, then do a find in the registry for orgchart.exe and make sure the path is correct for its location. Either move the orgchart.exe file to the location noted in the registry (safest), or rename the path in the registry to that of orchart.exe's location.
Same deal for clipart.
