Does anyone know if Powerpoint has a limit on how big a presentation can be? Most of the presentation are over 4mb in size and they cannot be updated from within the application.

"cannot be updated from within the application"

Why not?

Cutting graphics, and then hitting Edit-Paste special-As a picture, can help to reduce file size.

I don't think there's a limit on file size except the RAM that is on the machine.

OR...
linking OLEs instead of embedding the data will reduce the size. :) Skip,

When I open the presentation and make changes I get the following error: There was an error accessing...(it gives the name and path of the presentation). The presentation is over 8mb in size and this happen to all of the presentation thats that are over 3-4mb. It is happening on not only my machine, but everyone else that tries to open any of them.

Thx for you help
